Dankie Boi is a fast-rising South African Gqom DJ, producer, and songwriter from Inanda Township in Durban, emerging as a key voice in the genre’s new wave. Known for his high-energy productions rooted in sharp percussion, rolling basslines, and chant-driven arrangements, his rise through 2025 and 2026 has been fueled by viral dance moments, community-driven momentum, and collaborations with artists such as Goldmax and Blacks Jnr, alongside DJ Tira.
