The lead single titled Healer Ntliziyo Yam is a song taken from his forthcoming EP Agape. Gaba Cannal teams up with George Lesley and Russel Zuma in a heartwarming, soothing Amapiano song.
“The single is a song of hope that one day things will be okay, as it describes a broken heart that seeks healing after experiencing perennial heartache. We originally wanted to drop a different single from the project as our lead single, however following the positive response we got from a recent Groove Cartel SA (live recording session) on YouTube, we ended up deciding on giving our fans the single they enjoyed most on the set recorded in early February this year,”
says Gaba Cannal.
Khaka Yena, known to many as Gaba Cannal, hails from the East of Johannesburg and he is an independent South African composer, DJ, producer, songwriter and vocalist who fell in love with House music at a young age. He has since made his mark in the music scene as one of the pioneers of the iconic Amapiano genre.
Agape is a 5-track EP and true to Gaba Cannal style, the project has a blended approach consisting of a few big names and emerging talent, contributing further towards the legacy of the genre. Some of the names include Afrotraction, Xavi Yentin, and Mr. Abie.
