German dance music visionary Henrik Schwarz has remixed the Ladysmith Black Mambazo track ‘Ayikh’ Indaw’ Enjengekhaya’, out 1st July on Gallo Record Company.
This brand-new rework sees Schwarz reimagine the Ladysmith Black Mambazo sonic story, placing the sound in an electronic music context while remaining true and respectful to its original writer – legendary Mambazo founder Joseph Shabalala.
It’s the latest Gallo Remixed release, a project that has generated interest from the global music creator community. This rework birthed from a historical mutual respect between Schwarz and Black Coffee, who recently acquired a stake in Gallo Records and was trusted to be the executive producer of Drake’s new album Honestly Nevermind.
A vibrant cross-continental collaboration, the Henrik Schwarz remix of ‘Ayikh’ Indaw’ Enjengekhaya’ breathes fresh energy into the lauded original.
Ayikh’ Indaw’ Enjengekhaya’, released on 1 July 2022, across global streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, Youtube Music as well as Beatport and Traxsource for DJ’s.
