Festival Builds Momentum Ahead of KwaZulu-Natal Debut
With only days to go before Mayonie Open Air makes its highly anticipated KwaZulu-Natal debut, organisers have announced the addition of South African music heavyweight L’vovo Derrango to the festival lineup.
The event, set for 29 August 2026 at Chris Saunders Park in Umhlanga, is expected to be one of Durban’s biggest dance music gatherings, celebrating the sounds of Afrohouse and Afrotech with an impressive roster of local talent.

L’vovo Derrango joins an already star-studded lineup featuring DJ Kent, Bucie and NaakMusiQ, alongside some of the country’s leading Afrohouse and Afrotech artists.
Widely recognised for his influence on South Africa’s music scene and his energetic performances, L’vovo’s inclusion further strengthens the festival’s offering as Mayonie Open Air expands beyond its inaugural success into KwaZulu-Natal.
