DJ and media personality Lamiez Holworthy has been hospitalised after requiring an emergency surgical procedure, according to a statement released by her management on Sunday, 9 August 2026.
Lamiez Holworthy’s management has confirmed that the celebrated South African DJ and entertainment personality was rushed to hospital and underwent an emergency surgical procedure.
In a media statement issued by Brand Arc Sports & Entertainment on behalf of Lamiez Holworthy Management, her team reassured fans and industry stakeholders that her condition is not life-threatening.
Emergency procedure impacts scheduled appearances
The hospitalisation is expected to affect Lamiez’s remaining professional commitments scheduled for Sunday, 9 August, and Monday, 10 August.
Her management apologised to event promoters, organisers, clients and partners for the inconvenience caused by the sudden change to her schedule.
“Management will contact affected parties and will issue revised dates for bookings once Lamiez has been medically cleared to resume her professional commitments,” the statement said.
