Dlala Thukzin Announces New Album ‘Ember’

by admin

South African DJ and producer Dlala Thukzin has announced that his new album, Ember, will be released worldwide on 30 October 2026, with collaborators including Stunna, Sino Msolo, Funky Qla and Kabza Da Small.

Billed in the announcement as his ninth solo album, the project centres on longevity, evolution and the creative drive behind his music. Its title carries a central message: “the fire that never fades”.

At 29, Dlala Thukzin continues to develop a musical identity that moves across Afro-house, 3-Step and broader African electronic sounds. Ember builds on that foundation as he prepares to take his music to more international audiences.

The album’s guest line-up brings together vocalists and producers from across South Africa’s dance music scene. While further details about the individual tracks have yet to be shared, the announced collaborators point to a continuation of the musical partnerships that have become a defining feature of his work.

With Stunna and Sino Msolo joining Funky Qla and Kabza Da Small among the featured artists, the project promises a meeting of different voices and production styles, shaped by Dlala Thukzin’s approach behind the boards.

The release also comes at a significant point in his international career. According to the announcement, confirmed tour destinations include Australia, the Netherlands and Portugal, with further international stops to be announced.

Those appearances will bring the Ember era to audiences beyond South Africa, extending a career built around music that connects club dancefloors with festival crowds.

The forthcoming album is presented as a reflection of an artist continuing to evolve while retaining a distinctly African sonic identity. For Dlala Thukzin, its central theme is continuity: sustaining the creative spark while finding new directions for his sound.

Ember arrives worldwide on 30 October 2026.
