The streets and taverns of Mafikeng in the North West Province of South Africa are home to a lively and popular genre of hip hop.

This is where a lad called Tebogo Kodisang aka Bluelle tuned into the rhythm of South Africa’s rich and rapidly evolving music scene.

It is the place where the young Tebogo nurtured his own unique blend of African House which embraces strains of International and South African music with cross-over appeal.

Those early influences remained in the young man’s musical being when he moved to Johannesburg to attend high school in 2002.

Back in those early days in Johannesburg’s studios Bluelle soon began fine tuning his own unique sound by experimenting with software like Fruity Loops, Reason and Ableton Live.

The results lent his musical sound a brilliant edge and Bluelle was soon dubbed as one of the most creative producer/DJs on season 5 of SABC 1’s DJ and Producer Challenge Show 1s and 2s.

He has since gone on to collaborate with many of SA’s music greats like Holly Rey, Professor, Prince Kaybee, Euphonik, Thiwe as well as with Canadian House Music legend, Nick Holder from whom he received an international remix for the landmark track “We are Africa”.

Currently, Bluelle is a club and radio DJ for several top establishments. He has had residencies at News Café Malibongwe as well as News Café North Riding, (both in Randburg, Johannesburg) and club appearances all over the country.

In addition Bluelle is currently a resident Mix DJ for Drums Radio (UK). The Bluelle Brand is also active as a DJ and profile song maker which has opened a great opportunity for him to share stages with industry icons such as DJ Fresh, DJ Shimza, Euphonik, LocNville, Crazy White Boi, Vin Deysel and Lady Lea, when he won the “DJ in the Park” competition back in 2014.

He produced NaakMusiQ’s single, “Not Guilty” went on to reach number one on YFM’s Top 40 Chart.
