The SHIM.ZA There’s No Wrong Way Tour event took place at the Great Dane bar in Braamfontein on Saturday 12 March 2022 featuring the multidisciplinary producer and curator Deniece Marz.
We attended the show and caught up with Xoliswa Denise Moyo who is also known as Deniece Marz. She is a live mix DJ, music producer and curator. Deniece started her DJ career at the age of 19 while she studied towards her Fashion Design Degree.
Her ability to mix music from different genres and eras keeps you hooked on her live sets and mixes. This comes easy to her due to being raised in music heavy household. Her musical influences are her father (a jazz bassist), her brother (a music producer) and her uncle (Hip-Hop and Jazz enthusiast).
Deniece has graced the decks at many events including Afropunk, Oppikopi, Redbull Music Festival and many more. The celebrations of the Stay True: There’s No Wrong Way global campaign is still rocking the masses in 2022. The face of the campaign Shimza is celebrating the best of South African music by sharing the stage with incredible talents that showcase the sounds of the main cities of the country.
