Nkosikhona Russell Zuma, known professional as Russell Zuma, is a South African singer, Songwriter. Born and raised in Durban, KZN. He began his musical career by being a back up singer for Lucky Mngadi (Lucky & Friends Gospel Choir) and went on to further his musical knowledge at Bet Centre.
He later met Gugulethu Ngxabi (Gifford) and Mapheelle Mongali (Suppressor) they formed a Band called “Groove Jam” , he also worked with the likes of Spin Worx and Brewed Souls under House Africa, he also worked with the legendary DJ Kabila on Music Will Save the Day album.
Russel Zuma later met George Lesley and later released his debut Single “Ishumi Leminyaka” with him, he later worked with him again on the Gaba Cannal hit
song “Healer Ntliziyo Yami” on which he was featured on by Gaba Cannal and George Lesley.
He’s featured on the hit song “Emaxhoseni” by Dj Stax, and on “Woza Moya” by Artwork Sounds. Russell Zuma has a single out with with Abidoza and was featured on the Scorpion Kings project. Russell is currently working on something with the Major League DJz, which could featured their upcoming project.
