Afro-tech visionary flips mellow Drake track into a late-night groove
Producer and DJ Drega has officially kicked off his highly anticipated 4-week bootleg series with a striking reimagining of Drake’s “Nokia.” Released on 11 July, the track is available for free on SoundCloud and YouTube, giving fans a first taste of Drega’s signature Afro-electronic edge.
Known for fusing deep grooves with slick underground finesse, Drega transforms the mellow original from Some Sexy Songs 4 U into a lush, late-night Afro-tech experience. Titled simply “Nokia (Bootleg),” the track is driven by crisp percussion, atmospheric textures, and a sultry emotional current — delivering mood and momentum in equal measure.

The bootleg is the first in a month-long rollout that will see Drega rework major tracks from some of pop and R&B’s biggest names, including The Weeknd, Muni Long, and Dua Lipa. The entire series will be released independently and made freely accessible via his Linktree.
Whether you’re a late-night listener, a DJ crate digger, or a lover of Afro-fusion innovation, Drega’s latest series promises a fresh, rhythmic reintroduction to your favorite songs.
