A Family Vision Turned Reality
South African Amapiano sensation and entrepreneur Lady Du, real name Duduzile Ngwenya, has once again expanded her business empire — this time with a heartfelt twist. Taking to her social media, Lady Du revealed that her latest venture, a children’s salon dubbed Minnie Salon, was inspired by a request from her daughter.
“Mommy, Can I Have My Own Brand?”
“A few months ago my daughter asked if she could have her own brand and salon,”
Lady Du shared in a heartfelt post.
“I said I don’t have a problem. She gave me the name and everything, and I decided to build a Minnie salon behind the main one.”
The post was accompanied by photos of the new space, proudly showcasing the mini beauty haven.
A Salon Experience Tailored for Kids
The Minnie Salon aims to cater specifically to children, offering more than just hair services.
“We want to cater for them in a different way,”
Lady Du explained.
“Getting them toys, books, iPads to play with, and party packs so their experience is completely different.”
The kid-friendly environment is located at 1937 Lerotle Street in KwaThema.

Empowering Girls Through Skills Training
Lady Du also announced the upcoming launch of a training centre aimed at empowering young women.
“We will also be opening a training centre for girls that want to learn to do nails,”
she wrote, reinforcing her commitment to creating opportunities and building community upliftment initiatives.
From Hitmaker to Business Mogul
Lady Du, known for smash hits like “uMlando,” “Woza,” and “GUPTA,” has steadily built a reputation as a savvy businesswoman. With her successful beauty salons, bottled water brand WAWA Water, and ventures into the construction industry, she continues to champion financial independence for artists and entrepreneurs alike.
A Message of Gratitude
To her fans and supporters, she added,
“Thank you to everyone that’s supported my brand — I appreciate you.”
From the studio to the salon, Lady Du proves that with vision and purpose, no dream is too small — especially when it comes from your child.
