Masterpiece YVK, along with Nkuli 501 & Skroef28, releases a summer banger, ‘Hamba Nawe’. This single comes after a 10-month long hiatus; he last released on November 3rd, 2022 when he dropped the album ‘SON OF A KING’ consisting hits like ‘Wangkolota’ and ‘Kunkra’.
In that project, he worked with Amapiano geniuses; Kabza De Small, Tyler ICU and Mas Musiq. What came as a surprise on the project was guest appearance of Hip Hop legend, Kwesta, on the song ‘Skelem’ which amassed online momentum for the artist.
Ready to serve his followers in collaboration with Nkuli 501 & Skroef28, with a summer hit, he releases ‘Hamba Nawe’ on September 8th midnight.
‘Hamba Nawe’ is a letter of appreciation and invitation to ‘walk the journey with’ from Masterpiece to his fans, as he puts it. He says what should be expected from the single is a ‘Sgija sound’ popularly known from Nkuli 501 & Skroef28 and Masterpiece YVK showcasing his artistic fluency in vernac.

“I’m super excited about the release of Hamba Nawe. It feels like I pressed the reset button and starting things afresh. All the while asking my supporters to go with me on this new journey hence the lyrics ‘ngcela uku hamba nawe’ which means ‘could you go with me’.
Of course to an ordinary person it sounds as though I’m asking a girl out, however it’s me reaching out to everyone to come with me through this all.”
