Today marks the release of a deeply moving single, “Wa Tshembeka,” by Cooper SA, in collaboration with Small S.P, and featuring the talents of Tyler ICU and Jay Sax.

Available now on all streaming platforms, this song brings a refreshing blend of Amapiano sounds and live instrumental richness.

“Wa Tshembeka,” which translates from Tsonga as “You are faithful,” serves as both a heartfelt prayer and a tribute to the unwavering presence of faith in our lives.

The track weaves together the distinct musical styles of Cooper SA, Small S.P, Tyler ICU, and Jay Sax, creating a unique soundscape that celebrates gratitude and resilience.

Cooper SA, reflecting on the creation of the song, shares,

“The features on this track came together naturally. Small is like a brother to me. I started the song from scratch and wasn’t entirely sure about it, so I reached out to Small for his opinion. He instantly said it was fire and brought Tyler and Jay on board. The creative process was special.”

The single’s composition is enhanced by live instruments, adding depth and authenticity to the track. Cooper SA elaborates, “The song is about thanking God for where you are and for what is yet to come. It’s about appreciating God’s mercy, no matter what you’re going through.”

Drawing inspiration from gospel music and his church background, Cooper SA aimed to craft a song that reflects his personal growth within the Amapiano genre.

“I wanted to tell a story through this song, and I’m very happy with how it turned out. ‘Wa Tshembeka’ is the lead single from my upcoming EP, which promises a diverse mix of soulful sounds, jazz influences, and straata vibes. I’ve named it ‘Ice Cream’ because it offers a flavour for every taste.”

Fans can now stream “Wa Tshembeka” and experience this vibrant expression of faith and gratitude. Listen to the track here.
