In anticipation of the album, Mashudu is set to release her second single, “Linda,” this Friday, collaborating with close associates @real_bassie, @soamattrix, @officialtycoon_, and @happyjazzman_rsa.
She expressed her eagerness for fans to hear the new track, marking the beginning of what she calls “the Imvumi SEASON.”
Hailing from Soweto, Mashudu’s journey in music began in her childhood, shaped by her foundation in opera during her time in the school choir. Her remarkable vocal talent has since led her to perform on prestigious stages in both the United States and Scotland.
While attending the University of Witwatersrand, Mashudu’s musical style evolved as she embraced Amapiano, captivating audiences with hit songs like “Mina nawe,” “Qhude,” “Kuvaliwe,” and “Umoya.”
