About DaMabusa
Johan Sfiso Sithebe, professionally known as DaMabusa, hails from Kwamhlanga, Mpumalanga. His passion for music started at just 11 years old when he joined a clap-and-tap choir. By 2019, he had formed his own choir, a move that helped him develop his signature sound—a fusion of gospel, soul, and contemporary amapiano.
His big breakthrough came in 2022 with Umama Owangizalayo, which quickly became a certified gold hit. That same year, he released an EP titled Izipho, followed by another hit single, “Syeke”, in April 2023.
Since then, DaMabusa has worked with some of the biggest names in South African music, including Sdala B, Paige, Lungelo Hlongwane, and Mduduzi Ncube. His growing success has taken him to international stages, where he continues to captivate audiences with his powerful performances.
