The Black Coffee Foundation founder, record producer, and songwriter Black Coffee (real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo) is once again using his influence to uplift communities.
Taking to social media, the Grammy Award-winning artist emphasized the importance of education in shaping young minds and building futures.
“School is where dreams begin. It’s where young minds are shaped, curiosity is nurtured, and futures are built. At the Black Coffee Foundation, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and uplift communities. Through our Back-to-School Project, we’re committed to making sure every child has what they need to start the school year strong. Let’s work together to give them the tools to dream, learn, and achieve,”
he posted.

The Black Coffee Foundation has long been dedicated to nation-building and community rehabilitation in South Africa. It raises funds through CD sales, private sector donations, government contributions, and foreign investments to assist vulnerable and disabled individuals.
With a focus on education, independence, and social integration, the Black Coffee Foundation continuously works to provide sustainable support to those in need.
With the Back-to-School Project, the foundation is gearing up to equip learners with essential school supplies and support systems to help them thrive academically. This initiative aims to remove barriers that often hinder education for underprivileged students, ensuring they have the resources to dream, learn, and achieve.
As the new school year begins, Black Coffee is calling on individuals and organizations to join the cause and contribute towards empowering the next generation of South African leaders.
The Black Coffee Foundation was launched in 2010 at Maponya Mall where Nkosinathi Maphumulo played for 60 hours.
