Afro-House Duo Honoured by Apple Music
Apple Music has announced Jazzworx & Thukuthela as the latest cover stars for its flagship African dance playlist, Isgubhu, celebrating the vibrant pulse of the continent’s electronic and dance scene.

Roots in Daveyton and Carltonville
Thukuthela, hailing from eTwatwa in Daveyton, discovered his passion for songwriting and performance early in life. His journey took a pivotal turn when Waltz Music Group introduced him to producer Jazzworx.
Jazzworx, originally from Carltonville, honed his craft in local clubs like Corner Pocket and Jazz Bar, where he began shaping his signature Afro-House sound influenced by the 3-Step genre.
Hit Collaborations and Chart Success
Together, the duo has produced a string of Apple Music chart-topping tracks including “Vuka” with Oscar Mbo, “Isaka (6am)” with Ciza, and two standout collaborations with MaWhoo & GL_Ceejay — “Uzizwa Kanjan” and “Bengicela”. Each of these hits climbed to the #1 spot, cementing their place in the African dance music scene.
Celebrating the Sound of Isgubhu
To mark their cover feature, Jazzworx & Thukuthela curated a special selection of songs for Isgubhu, highlighting tracks like “2Step” by Shimza, Kabza De Small & DJ Vitoto, “Dangerous” by Sun-El Musician & Jnr SA, and Caiiro’s “Ndisize”.
