Emerging Gqom artist Mastende Landlord has become one of South Africa’s latest viral music sensations after a snippet of his upcoming single, “iNtomb YeBrazo,” exploded across TikTok ahead of its official release.
The artist, born Linda Thuki Jr. Mkhize, shared an early preview of the track on the social media platform, only to wake up to thousands of notifications as the sound quickly gained traction. The snippet has since been used in more than 60,000 TikTok videos, generating millions of views and positioning the song as one of the country’s fastest-growing viral sounds.

Riding the wave of online excitement, the artist has officially scheduled the release of the single for 26 June 2026, giving fans the full version of the song that has already captured the attention of thousands online.

The track draws inspiration from everyday South African township culture, celebrating the relationship between respected “Grootman” figures and the stylish women affectionately referred to as “iQanda LeGrootman”—the passenger princesses who accompany them.
At the heart of the song is its infectious hook:
“Iqanda LeGrootman, Passenger Princess, iNtomb YeBrazo.”
The catchy lyrics have become the driving force behind the song’s rapid popularity, inspiring thousands of TikTok creators to produce dance videos and lifestyle content using the audio.

According to Mastende Landlord, the creative process began after receiving production from Nag’uLwaaa and TIS RSA.
“I had a thing I always wanted to talk about in one of my songs. I structured the lyrics, recorded the chorus and posted it on TikTok,” the artist explained.
Reflecting on his journey, he added that despite facing significant challenges early in his career, his passion for music and the support of established industry figures kept him motivated. He views the success of “iNtomb YeBrazo” as confirmation that he is on the right path.
