South African Amapiano artists Ghost Da Catalyst and Khalil Harrison have officially released their collaborative EP, Audio Hug, a project centred on themes of comfort, connection and emotional healing through music.
A Project Built Around Emotion
Described by the duo as “a hug you can press replay on,” Audio Hug explores a softer and more reflective side of Amapiano. The project combines soulful melodies, warm piano arrangements, subtle log drums and introspective songwriting to create a listening experience aimed at life’s quieter moments.
According to the artists, the EP was created as a companion for listeners navigating different emotions and experiences, from personal milestones to moments of solitude and reflection.
Focus Track Features Amapiano Heavyweights
Leading the release is C’est La Vie (Ntombenhle), a collaboration featuring Cooper SA, Ceeka RSA, Jay Sax and Tyler ICU.
The track blends rich instrumentation with prominent saxophone elements and an upbeat groove, reflecting the emotional tone that runs throughout the EP. The collaboration brings together several notable voices from the Amapiano scene, creating a record designed to appeal to both dancefloor audiences and more casual listeners.
Following The Success Of eTjwaleni
The release follows the earlier single eTjwaleni, which served as an introduction to the sonic direction of Audio Hug. The track featured Pale Moloi and LeeMcKrazy and generated anticipation among fans ahead of the EP’s arrival.
The single highlighted the collaborative nature of the project and its focus on storytelling through music.

Continued Growth For Ghost Da Catalyst
For Ghost Da Catalyst, Audio Hug adds to a growing catalogue of releases that have helped establish his reputation within the genre. Known for projects such as Lenyatso and Intombi, the producer has become recognised for blending emotional themes with Amapiano’s signature rhythmic elements.
His work continues to showcase a balance between soulful musicality and dancefloor-focused production.
Khalil Harrison’s Rising Influence
The EP also marks another milestone for Khalil Harrison, whose profile has continued to rise following the success of tracks such as Jealousy. Harrison has emerged as one of the genre’s notable young talents, earning attention for his songwriting and vocal contributions.
His growing influence has seen him collaborate with a range of artists while helping shape the evolving sound of contemporary Amapiano.
A Different Approach To Amapiano
Rather than focusing on current trends, Audio Hug leans heavily into themes of vulnerability, comfort and emotional connection. The project presents Amapiano as more than a dance genre, using music as a vehicle for reflection and personal expression.
