The Vic Falls Carnival, returns in 2022 at one of the Seven Wonders of the World for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
For the past 9 years, the Vic Falls Carnival has always taken place over the New Year period, cementing it as one of Africa’s top NYE events – in 2022, the organisers have looked to reformat the event – Vic Falls Carnival is Africa’s celebration of its diverse culture, food and arts, and as such deserves its own stand alone date. They have chosen a long weekend that offers festival-goers more competitive packages, a wider selection of artists from around the continent, and great weather that allows you to see the Victoria Falls in all its glory after the Summer rains!
This year’s launch artists are sure to make the long weekend unforgettable! Keeping the local flavour at the forefront, this year’s event will see Carnival favourites back on stage for their African fans – South African DJ and Producer DJ Maphorisa, the ‘King of Amapiano’ Kabza De Small, Zimbabwe’s ‘Queen of Amapiano’ Sha Sha, and multi-award winning South African record producer known as the pioneer of “Bolobedu” dance Master KG kick off phase one local acts with many more Southern African acts to come in the next artist phase announcements.

Following the major success of the last 9 years, the Vic Falls Carnival has once again created the best way to spend three days at Victoria Falls! Friday 29 April 2022 – GRAND OPENING
For the Grand Opening night of our 10th Edition Carnival, we kick off celebrations with the Amapiano Scorpion Kings – DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. Start your Carnival Experience early with a night of the best in live Afro beats and Amapiano.
Saturday 30th April 2022 – ELECTRIC SAFARI
After a fun-filled day in Vic Falls National Park, where one can take part in a host of adventure activities, dance the night away with ‘Jerusalema’ hitmaker Master KG and a host of other top Artists and Performers at our Electric Safari Experience.
Sunday 1st May 2022 – SECRET PICNIC BUSH PARTY
We will be ending off the carnival with a Secret Picnic Bush Party. Expect laid-back vibes with various Live Acts on the day, as well as delicious local cuisine and craft brew. What better way to celebrate the last day of our Carnival Experience than with a Sunday feast?
The excitement doesn’t stop at the festival grounds – spend your days white water rafting, bungee jumping, or sip on a cocktail whilst you watch the vulture feeding and watering hole action at Safari Lodge.
