Masta is an Afro Deep House DJ and Producer. Born in Kroonstad (Free State) and currently residing in Johannesburg. He has been a DJ since 2012 and has released a series of mixtapes under the title ‘Mastermix’ (most recent episode being Mastermix #45). He has always favoured the deep and underground side of house music.
I always strive to play tracks that bring back memories for the crowd then I mix them up with tracks from underrated producers

His passion for house music and the influence from many talented producers in the house music industry are what drives him to improve daily.
Masta has released a couple of deep house EPs and singles since early 2020. Working with many upcoming artists, such as JstMoose, Jasper, Wakithi, and BinaryLion. His last two singles, however, have been dedicated to the huge genre that has taken the South African music industry by storm – Amapiano. He released his first Amapiano instrumental titled ‘This Moment’ on 3rd September 2021.

The game changer has to be the latest release titled ‘Le Ngoma’ (released 5th November 2021). This is a soulful amapiano track which features two amazing vocalists (D.O.XRSA and Wakithi) from the south of Jozi.
