Household band Mi Casa has a lot to celebrate this Thanksgiving as their single “Mamela” off their 10th studio album reaches platinum status six months after the single was certified Gold. Dubbed one of the best songs in South Africa this single has spent more than 54 weeks on the South African music charts which shows that there is tremendous support for it.
Speaking at a dinner held by the band’s label yesterday, J Something who is the band’s lead singer said,
“this time I’m not going to get as emotional as I was the last time, this milestone shows that we make quality music, and our fans appreciate and support us”.
Mi Casa has been consistent throughout their career in their offerings giving fans super hits like “Jika” , “These Streets” and many others .
The band’s electrifying performances always leave fans wanting more therefore it’s no surprise that “Mamela” has so much success. Mo T also attributed the success of the album and Mamela in particular to the hard work that the band put in when making this record as well as the immense love and support they have seen from their fans.
