South African Amapiano maverick and singer-songwriter, Aymos (real name Amos Shili), penned a heartfelt message to all women on his Instagram account on women’s day,
HAPPY WOMAMN’S MONTH TO EVERY WOMEN OUT THERE. AS A CARING AND WELL RAISED BOY CHILD, I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE TAUGHT GREAT VALUES IN LIFE. ONE OF WHICH IS THE RESPECT, LOVE AND PROTECTION OF WOMEN. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A SPECIAL APPRECIATION TO ALL WOMEN OUT THERE. IT’S BEEN TOUGH WITH GBV TERRORISING OUR COMMUNITIES AND FOR THAT I AM DEEPLY SADDENED. I URGE EVERY MEN TO DO BETTER, TO LOVE AND APPRECIATE ALL WOMEN. THIS IS YOUR MONTH, STAY STRONG AND RESILIENT. AYMOS WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW GRATITUDE TO ALL DEDICATED AND LOVING MOTHERS. I HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR ALL WOMEN, MOTHERS AND SHALL BE REVEALED SOON.
He says.
Aymos worked his way through the industry from being a backing vocalist to a session pianist. It was his feature on “Emcimbini”, alongside Kabza de Small, DJ Maphorisa, Samthing Soweto, Mas Musiq and Myztro, that cemented his place amongst the cream of SA’s Amapiano crop, as the track went on to become a chart-topping smash.
We just have to wait and see what he has hidden up his sleeve.
