Refilwe Emily Mohobane, known by her stage name EMILY MOHOBS, is a talented South African musician and songwriter who has been dominating all over the country with electrifying songs.
In 2014, she became the founder of Horizon Beat, a live youth Jazz Band that consisted of her siblings, a drummer, and a pianist, with the aim of taking talented artists off the streets.
In 2020, she started her music recording journey and was featured by local Amapiano and House Music artists on songs such as “Tembisa Monneng” by Distructive Twinz.
She was recently signed to Melly Music Records and released her much-loved single “Di Koloi” ft. Ba Bethe Gashoazen, which has since received a lot of radio play.
She’s decided to take over the streets with a brand new exceptional track featuring Ltd Muzika titled “Batista”. A vibrant song with a catchy melody that is sure to quickly become a favorite.
The song is about finding peace and happiness after going through a toxic relationship. It’s about individuals who experience mistreatment or are subjected to abusive behaviour by their partner, family, or coworkers.
Then, when those who are oppressed decide to sever relations with those who constantly want to dominate them mentally, financially, or even violently, they want to refuse and be a “John Cena” or “Batista” on them.
