Tembisa-born & bred Khathu Litshani best known as DJ Khathu, is a South African comedian, Amapiano & Hip Hop DJ, Radio Producer, Record Label Owner, and Music Producer.
After graduating from Boston Media House, he landed a job as a producer on the breakfast show on YFM. His popularity grew when he started doing short comedy videos, which received a lot of positive feedback from the public and garnered him a huge following on all his social media pages.
His comedy landed him a deal with South Africa’s largest telecoms companies MTN & Vodacom. He is the first comedian to have a voice-only caller tune, leading to Khathu being named most-liked social media comedian by ETV.
He has since dropped projects like “The Beginning” and singles “Ama Hyena” and “Inkinga” which have topped charts and received radio play on major stations.
Following his success with his previous drops, DJ Khathu comes through with yet another banging new song titled “Mamela”. The song “Mamela” was produced by DeSoul and DJ Khathu with CooperSA on the vocals.
It basically speaks about the importance of listening to your spirit and intuition, letting those two aspects guide you in your way of life, and never just walking in the flesh but always being in sync with your spirit, so life can be fulfilling and worth living.
It gives a positive message to the ones who feel lost and in doubt to never fear but to always put their faith in God and their Ancestors.
