The Majestiez is a dynamic duo consisting of Sizwe Radebe and Mandlakayise Junior Ngwenya, who is also known as Jazzmonk.
The talented duo hails from Vosloorus, in the East of Johannesburg, and was started in 2015 when the lads would hang around between school breaks.
The Majestiez were greatly influenced by The Soil, who helped shape their acapella-focused sound. Their soothing voices and melodic sounds form a symphony of storytelling through song.
The Majestiez have a very unique sound, and they are a versatile group that offers songs ranging from Gospel to Amapiano and Acapella.
The duo has worked mostly with household names in the Amapiano genre. They were spotted by Ntokzin, the hitmaker of “Steven Segal,” and featured in what was to be the hit song “Ngisize Mdali”.
The Majestiez aim to continue making trailblazing hit songs with a majestic approach. They’ve since been featured on a few songs, including Amapiano producer Laud’s “Duze” alongside MFR Souls, where they make an impressive contribution to the song and cement themselves as a firm name to look out for in the music scene.
Since then, they’ve been in studio working on their debut album, which features a few formidable names in the music industry and is scheduled to drop later this year.
They break out with a single titled “Idlozi” featuring T-Man SA, Nelo, and Goat. “Idlozi” is a captivating song that delves deep into the power of connecting with our ancestors, seeking their guidance, and finding solace in their presence.
The lyrics tell the compelling story of an individual navigating life’s challenges, yearning for a spiritual connection with their ancestors, or Idlozi in Zulu culture.
