Renowned multi-instrumentalist, producer, deejay, and versatile vocalist Dr Thulz has joined forces with Kemy Chienda, who is a visionary musical artist whose creative prowess knows no bounds.
Kemy, a lyricist and model, was born in Zimbabwe and raised in Polokwane, in the Limpopo province of South Africa.
Her music journey started at a young age, fuelled by a deep love for music and a desire to convey the intricacies of the human experience through music, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of genres, including soul, gospel, and R&B.
She blends these influences to create sounds that fit the church but feed the dance. Chienda’s music is characterized by its soulful melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and undeniable depth that resonates with listeners on a profound level.
Her powerful vocals, filled with both vulnerability and strength, have the ability to transport the audience to a realm of raw emotions and introspection.
The coming together of the two is explosive; two super talents in one song can only be identified as magic. Dr Thulz has greatly contributed to South African music, having been involved in numerous successful projects that have shaped the sound of South African music as a whole.
Dr Thulz has been called the future “Don Laka”.
This comes from the fact that he is one of the very few world-class pianists that we have in South Africa and the pivotal role that he has and will continue to play in the South African music industry, producing many different genres of music to the highest level and influencing a large part of the total sound of the country’s current music.
The song in question is titled “Ngeke”, and it features one of Cairo’s music producers, C’Pho.
The song talks about love, bringing forth a message that seeks to suggest that one will never find this kind of love anywhere else, suggesting that no one can love you like I do, showing a lot of confidence in the amount that one has for the other.
