Award-winning DJ, Producer and Entrepreneur, Ashley Raphala, better known by his fans as Shimza, just announced that he is launching yet another platform that aims to promote and grow the Afro House culture.
Every week this year I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and hosting a radio show that will be showcasing Afrohouse and Afrotech 🤙🏾 Once a month I will also be having guest mixes on the show! Let gooo!!!

With an undeniable list of impressive accolades, Shimza’s international footprint sees him having played at events such as Burning Man, Ushuaia with Camelphat, Blue Marlin and Void Mykonos.
Locally, Shimza heads up events such as ‘Kunye’, ‘U’R’, ‘Shimza’s One Man Show’ and ‘Shimza and Friends’. Notably, his One Man Show has been running for 15 years and hosts about 10 000 attendees.
Shimza is also an entrepreneurial force, notably creating the success of ‘The Hang Awt 1632’ in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni. Popularly known as a restaurant with a vibe.
