Internationally acclaimed Amapiano producer/DJ Tyler ICU is officially releasing his viral hit, “Manzi Nte,” alongside Masterpiece YVK, Silas Africa, Ceeka RSA, M.J, Al Xapo and his label boss, DJ Maphorisa.
With over 76,000 thousand creations and over 20 million views on TikTok already, the track is primed to be the song of the summer – a title Tyler is the reigning champ of, thanks to his 2023 globe-trotting banger “Mnike.”
Tyler ICU has had an undeniable meteoric rise in the last few years. After co-producing and contributing to multiple records, his journey as a lead artist began in 2020 with the aptly titled “Kwerentin.”
The track was shortly followed by his breakout EP ‘Money Heist’ featuring the hit “Bella Ciao” (Metro Booming and Don Toliver partied to it in Dubai recently) and a guest feature on Riky Rick’s “Ungazincishi.”
However, his 2021 joint project with DJ Maphorisa ‘Banyana’ made him a household name in South Africa. The EP’s standout track “Izolo” featuring Daliwonga, Madumane, Visca and the late Mpura, has garnered over 30 Million Views on YouTube in two years.
Following a string of singles and guest appearances, the Tembisa, Johannesburg-hailing artist dropped his debut solo full-length project ‘Buya Nini’ in 2022.
As a result of his relentless hard work and prevalent talent, 2023 would become his best year yet. In February, Tyler released the seminal “Ngimoja,” which was a launch pad to what would come next.
Everything changed when “Mnike” dropped in late April, the track went on to become the biggest and one of the first fully global Amapiano hit records, with international megastars such as Rihanna touting it as her song of the year.
