Mpho.Wav Unveils Book of Wav Soulful Odyssey in Afro-House

Mpho.Wav has arrived with his debut album, “Book of Wav,” a sonic constructed Afro-house album.

Since the album rollout began, Mpho.Wav earned co-signs from industry titans like Shimza, Sun-El Musician, and Zakes Bantwini.

The album is a vibrant fusion of genres, where ethereal live jazz, uplifting gospel, and dynamic fusion rhythms collide in perfect harmony.

Inspired by sonic architects like Sun-EL Musician, Da Capo, Black Coffee, Louie Vega, and Daft Punk, Mpho.Wav crafts an atmosphere that is ethereal.

The album boasts an impressive array of collaborators, including Sun-EL Musician, Da Capo, Simmy, Mthunzi, Malumz On Decks, and many more.

Musician and producer Mpho Mohlong, known artistically as Mpho.Wav, continues to dazzle the music scene with his innovative, groovy sound and captivating collaborations in Afro-house and 3 step.

Hailing from the township of Orange Farms and spending his formative years in the Vaal Triangle, Mpho.Wav’s passion for music ignited at the tender age of 14. 

Beginning his musical journey as a drummer and pianist in church, he quickly evolved into a sought-after session musician, working with renowned Smooth Jazz Fusion and Gospel artists. Mpho.Wav’s foray into music production began when a friend introduced him to digital production tools, igniting his exploration of sound.

His talent flourished as he joined the El World Music label (now Under the Sun), created by mentor and friend Sun-El Musician, where he contributed as a session musician and music producer, collaborating with celebrated artists under the label.

Among these and others he collaborated and produced some powerful hits with Msaki, Nobuhle, Azana, Kenza, Sun-El Musician, Mörda and more.
