South African DJ, music producer, and radio presenter DJ SUPTA, real name Siyabulela Sithole, has officially parted ways with youth radio giant YFM, where he spent over a decade building a beloved brand and loyal listenership.
From Eastern Cape to Gauteng: A Journey of Radio Excellence
SUPTA’s radio journey began in Aliwal North at Takalani FM, a local community station where he first fell in love with the medium. His passion followed him to the Free State for university, where he honed his craft at Motheo FM and later Kovsie FM. His talent soon caught the attention of YFM in Gauteng, where he rose to national prominence. With a relatable tone and commanding voice, SUPTA helped grow listenership to over 500,000 and attracted big-name brands to his shows.
New Single “Hayi SUPTA” Drops 28 March 2025
Just days after confirming his exit from YFM, SUPTA announced the release of his new single, “Hayi SUPTA”, set to drop on 28 March. The Afro Tech track is a rhythmic chant of his own name, layered with his own vocals and signature style.
