To usher in the series, Apple Music has tapped legendary South African DJ and producer Da Capo as the debut cover star. Known globally for his emotionally charged Afro-House sound, Da Capo’s inclusion solidifies his legacy as one of the genre’s most important torchbearers.

From Seshego to the World
Born Nicodimas Sekheta Mogashoa in Seshego, Limpopo, Da Capo is a self-taught producer who signed his first major deal with NH Records at the age of 20. His 2015 Touched EP under Soulistic Music featured the breakout track “Speed of Sound” with Tresor, and marked the beginning of his rise to international acclaim.
Introducing Indigo Child II: Love & Frequency
Now, ten years into a celebrated career, Da Capo returns with Indigo Child II: Love & Frequency—a deeply personal project that continues his sonic journey.
“I enjoy pushing boundaries, both sonically and creatively,”
he says.
“This mix is a reflection of all of that. It’s spiritual, high-vibrational and rooted in everything that’s shaped me, both personally and creatively.”

Named after the isiZulu word for “beat,” Isgubhu champions the best in African dance music, from Amapiano and Afro Tech to 3 Step and Afro House. The platform showcases DJ mixes, exclusive editorial playlists, and curated content from Africa’s finest electronic music innovators.
