Kunye Records releases first single from upcoming remix EP
Kunye Records has released “Tiki Tiki 2.0”, the lead single from an upcoming EP that reimagines the viral “Tiki Tiki” through a series of new Afro House interpretations.
The release brings together South African music veteran Oskido and Congolese-Angolan vocalist Salima Chica, with production handled by Oskido alongside Argento Dust and Bun Xapa.
Song draws inspiration from Lingala language
The track takes its name from the Lingala word “Tekita,” meaning “to shake” or “to tremble.” According to the artists, the song explores the excitement of love through hypnotic vocal performances, African-inspired rhythms and contemporary Afro House production.
“Tiki Tiki 2.0” blends musical influences from Central and Southern Africa while maintaining a club-focused Afro House sound aimed at dance floors and international audiences.
Upcoming EP expands on original viral hit
The new single serves as the first release from an EP that will feature multiple versions of “Tiki Tiki,” with different interpretations intended for clubs, festivals and DJ sets around the world.
The project continues Kunye Records’ focus on showcasing African electronic music through collaborations between established and emerging artists.

Oskido says project celebrates African unity
Speaking about the release, Oskido said the project reflects the unifying power of African music.
“This project is about celebrating African unity through music. ‘Tiki Tiki 2.0’ brings together different cultures and sounds, showing how Afro House continues to evolve while staying rooted in our heritage.”
Oskido remains one of Africa’s most influential figures in electronic music. The veteran DJ and producer co-founded Kalawa Jazmee Records and has spent more than three decades developing and promoting African music globally. He has also been honoured with South Africa’s Order of Ikhamanga (Silver) for his contribution to the arts.
Afro House collaboration crosses borders
“Tiki Tiki 2.0” highlights a cross-cultural collaboration between artists from Southern and Central Africa, reflecting the growing international reach of Afro House.
