South African DJ and producer LebtoniQ has released his new album, F4R THE POLOPIANS II, bringing together personal reflection, soulful grooves and collaborations with some of the country’s recognised house music talents.
Released through Soul Candi Records on Friday, 30 October 2026, the 10-track project marks his first full-length release with the label. Leading the album is “Banomona”, featuring Nto Musica and Sef Pico.
The release arrives four years after his debut, revisiting the musical world that introduced listeners to his sound while drawing on the experiences that have shaped his journey since.
Four years of growth behind the sequel
Born Lebohang Maleke, LebtoniQ introduced F4R The Polopians in 2022 with a 14-track debut rooted in deep and soulful house.
With F4R THE POLOPIANS II, he returns to that foundation with a project centred on growth, collaboration and the relationship between emotion and movement. The album draws from his experiences as both an artist and a person, carrying those reflections into music made for the dancefloor.
Melodic piano lines, warm percussion, hypnotic grooves and punchy basslines form the project’s sonic framework. Its direction makes room for quieter, reflective moments alongside the energy of a busy dancefloor.
“Banomona” leads a collaborative album
Focus track “Banomona” brings LebtoniQ together with Nto Musica and Sef Pico, introducing an album in which collaboration plays a central role.
The tracklist includes C-Blak on the opening song, “Ihlobo”, while Leroyale and Mr Brown join him on “Zorora”. Dearson and Dark-Horse feature on “Nobody”, followed by Chymamusique on “Practice What You Preach” and Oscar Mbo on “Power Of Music”.
Elsewhere, Z.E.N appears on two tracks, “Your Luv” and “Eliminate”, while Rosetta D33P collaborates on “Two People”. LebtoniQ closes the album with the solo offering “House That”.
These partnerships bring different voices and production approaches into the project, with LebtoniQ’s deep house foundations providing a common thread.
A new chapter with Soul Candi Records
The album also opens a new chapter in LebtoniQ’s relationship with Soul Candi Records, serving as his first full-length project under the label.
With more than two decades of history in South African house music, Soul Candi provides a fitting home for a release built around soulful expression and dancefloor connection.
