DSK & Bhubesi’s debut single, ‘Gabadiya’ is a day away from its official release, just in time for the long weekends ahead. The highly anticipated single, set for release on 10 December 2021, is also available for pre-order on iTunes and pre-save on Spotify.
This comes on the heels of an exciting announcement that Muvhango star Dingaan Khumalo (DSK) has collaborated with music sensation Sihle Tshabalala (Bhubesi) to create vibey amapiano sounds.
The Brand DSK & Bhubesi was born when serial entrepreneur DSK (Acronym for Dingaan Siyabonga Khumalo) decided that it is time to play hard after years of building his enviable legacy, he went on to collaborate with Bhubesi who has worked on songs with Sjava and Emtee.
Gabadiya was formed in the early months of 2021 after the duo concluded months of conceptualising, composing and creating in the studio with South African music producers, Saky N & DJ Cracker.
A sound driven by distinct vocal melodies escorted by log drums, DSK & Bhubesi flex smooth vocals with an upbeat attitude. Carrying a festive and upbeat tune, ‘Gabadiya’ is inspired by a gorgeous girl who is also arrogant, the duo encourage the girl to take a seat, sip some water and just relax. What is more interesting is that the events that led to the lyrical content of the song happened at a business conference where a stunning lady displayed signs of arrogance not only to the guys but to women as well and was advised to take a seat.
