Following a visit by President Cyril Ramaphosa to Ghana this past week, D Global Entertainment is proud to announce a partnership between South Africa and Ghana that will see the amplification of global breakout music genre Amapiano being celebrated.
Taking place in Accra, Ghana this December in a cultural exchange partnership, The Amapiano Festival is a merriment of the now popular house genre that has emerged from South Africa.
Over the past couple of years, South Africans in the entertainment industry have vastly enjoyed the dance type that has now taken the continent by storm. The sound and amapiano culture have received recognition in parts the world and has proudly represented South Africa in afro pop culture. It is no surprise that the music style is growing and will now have its first music festival, purely dedicated to the genre, in Ghana on 19 December 2021 at GARAGE Lounge, East Lagon.
Hosting some of the leading artists in South Africa through a successful partnership with South African Airways, D Global Entertainment will bring amapiano to life in Ghana for this unique music showcase which will take place annually moving forward.
Encouraging all of Africa to travel and explore Ghana, The Amapiano Festival promises to be more than music and will allow fans from across the continent to experience music from the likes of Kamo Mphela, DBN Gogo, Mr JazziQ, Uncle Waffles and more.
