After the success of their previous single, ‘Mano Mano’, today talented duo, Thee Suka, drops their new single ‘Aluwawa’, on all digital platforms. Hailed as the fastest growing duo in the music industry, Thee Suka has gradually built their career over the years individually under their respective stage names – SucreSoul and Kadjila.

Thee Suka was formed in 2020 during the pandemic with the specific intention of spiritually soothing the world through Afro House music produced in South Africa for the world. The duo believes that ‘Aluwawa’ is the song of hope and healing, aimed at uplifting people’s spirits. After everything the World has been through and still facing, through their music Thee Suka want to see people happy again.

When speaking about ‘Aluwawa’ and the meaning behind the song, the duo said:

“Having experienced challenging times during Covid and South African unrest, ‘Aluwawa’ made sense as a request for divine intervention from God, listen to our prayers oh lord to infinity and beyond. The lyrical content is that of what we have been taught by our parents – “never forget to pray in good or bad times”. We found solace in praying for the entire nation and ‘Aluwawa’ gave us more hope and faith that things will eventually be alright.”

When describing the intricate production behind the song they said:

“The prayer is accentuated prayer through gingery, nostalgic, afro sounds curated for the dance floor and immaculately disseminated chords with a rhythm from choiring ballads of men from the village. ‘Aluwawa’ draws emotions with its kinetic bouncy aura that is equally integral for the dance floor.“

The duo also recently joined the Sony Music Family and when asked how they felt about the signing they said:

“We are excited to join the family and release our latest offering under the Sony Music Entertainment roster”.
