This song acknowledges the reality that to be alive is to be in darkness, to be in the world is to walk in darkness and it speaks to our desire/need as humans to find the light, and the journey that search takes us on.
While there can be many carriers of light, this song is about the peace of finding and trusting in God as the source of light.
It is a celebration of the joy, warmth and assurance light brings to us as people.
