DJ Maphorisa’s highly anticipated annual event, PorryLand 3.0, proved to be a massive success as it drew a staggering crowd of over 11,000 attendees on New Year’s Day.
Held in the NNME 1 area of Soshanguve, the event transformed DJ Maphorisa’s home township into a buzzing hub of music and celebration, despite the rain that persisted throughout the night.
The star-studded lineup featured DJ Maphorisa himself, alongside some of Amapiano’s biggest names, including Kabza De Small, Myztro, Scotts Maphuma, Felo le Tee, and Mas Musiq. Each artist delivered electrifying performances that kept the crowd energized until 6:00 AM the next morning.
The event was orchestrated by DJ Maphorisa’s younger brother, Myztro, who managed to deliver a seamless show that lived up to its hype. Attendees braved the rain, refusing to let the weather dampen their spirits as they danced and sang along to hit after hit.

PorryLand has become a staple event in the Amapiano calendar, and the 3.0 edition showcased the genre’s growing influence and ability to unite fans. DJ Maphorisa and his team have set a high bar for the coming year, with fans already eagerly anticipating PorryLand 4.0.
The event not only highlighted the cultural significance of Amapiano but also celebrated the local talent that continues to shape its global appeal. For one night, Soshanguve was at the center of South Africa’s music scene, and it’s clear that PorryLand is here to stay.
