Fans worldwide are encouraged to take part in shaping the future of African music by voting for their favorite artists. Voting officially opened on January 2, 2025, at www.traceawards.plus and will close on February 15, 2025.
With fans accounting for 50% of the final vote and the remaining half determined by an expert jury, every vote can influence the winners across 24 categories.

The Trace Awards showcase Africa’s vibrant and diverse music scene, highlighting genres such as Afrobeat, amapiano, hip-hop, kizomba, dancehall, soukous, and many more. Over 30 countries are represented, featuring globally renowned artists like Burna Boy, Diamond Platnumz, Tems, Rema, Asake, and Tyla, competing for top honors in categories like Song of the Year, Best Male Artist, and Album of the Year.
