11 Youth Graduate from Transformative Internship Programme

A proud moment unfolded on 9 April as 11 young individuals from Thembisa celebrated their graduation from the second intake of The Hub Internship Programme, a life-changing initiative led by South African DJ and philanthropist Ashley ‘Shimza’ Raphala.

Hands-On Learning Meets Real-World Experience

The four-month programme, accredited at Level 5 by Services SETA and powered by the Hollywood Foundation, provided participants with intensive, hands-on training in event management, design, and entrepreneurship. The experience included mentorship from seasoned professionals, workshops, and participation in community-focused projects.

Shimza’s Vision for Community Upliftment

Launched in October 2024, The Hub was created with the goal of empowering young people from Shimza’s hometown of Thembisa. For the international DJ, the programme is about giving back and creating pathways for long-term success.

“We are incredibly proud of the progress our graduates have made throughout this programme,” said Shimza, founder of the Shimuzic Foundation. “This internship is about more than just education—it’s about fostering real-world experience, mentorship, and creating pathways to long-term success.”
