South African Deep House producer and DJ Chymamusique has announced a new music development initiative aimed at supporting emerging producers and artists through a collaborative album project tied to his 36th birthday.
Album Project to Fund and Showcase New Talent
In a social media post shared this week, Chymamusique revealed plans to compile an album featuring between 10 and 20 tracks from selected artists. The project will be backed by a budget of R36,000, a symbolic figure linked to his age.
According to the producer, the budget will be distributed among participating artists as advances, with the goal of providing both financial support and industry exposure.
“I’m compiling an album to kind of give a bit of exposure and funds to producers/artists as my way of giving back,” he wrote.
Production Support Included
Beyond the financial contribution, Chymamusique said he will be directly involved in refining the selected music. This includes editing, mixing, and mastering tracks where necessary to ensure the project meets professional standards.
The initiative is expected to offer developing artists an opportunity to work alongside one of South Africa’s most respected Deep House producers while gaining experience in a professional album production process.
Marketing and Nationwide Launch Plans
Chymamusique also indicated that he plans to invest additional resources into marketing, promotion, advertising, and album launch events across the country.
Some of the artists featured on the project may be invited to participate in these launch activities, potentially providing them with further exposure to audiences and industry stakeholders.
Royalty agreements for selected contributors will follow standard industry-sharing structures, according to the announcement.
Demo Submission Process Opens
Artists interested in participating have been invited to submit demos via email before the stated closing date of 31 June 2026. Chymamusique said the final selection of tracks will be announced publicly once the submission process has concluded.
