Just a couple of years ago, Phelela Mbatha who goes by the stage name Baby SON or S.O.N as he is more commonly known these days, had an office job as a financial advisor.
He had to quit that job to pursue a career in the music industry.
S.O.N was also a part-time personal photographer for the Metro FM broadcaster DJ Sabby.
He has since established a name for himself as the go-to hitmaker in the music industry as he posses impeccable writing skills with vocal abilities to match.
His notable works include contributing to the hit song Sondela by Shishiliza & Venom as well as his very own smash track titled Lonely featuring Zadok, Chukido and Musa Keys.
On this interview he opens up about his journey as singer/songwriter for himself and others in the Amapiano industry.
