Nia Pearl grew up in Umtata in the Eastern Cape. Her love for music started when she was in primary school.
“I found that I had a special attachment to music, felt like I belonged, gave me a sense of pride”
In high school, Nia was part of the school choir, talent competitions and from there made sure she natures the talent and continued to work on it.
After high school, Nia went on to study contemporary music at Damelin University and completed her studies in 2013.
After Varsity she started building a career as Nia Pearl.
