Limpopo rapper Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke—better known as Shebeshxt—has partnered with Virgin Music Group South Africa alongside long-time collaborator Naqua SA. The deal gives them global support while allowing them to remain fully independent and retain ownership of their music.

In May 2023, he faced legal charges for assault, attempted murder, and property damage—charges for which he was detained and later released; the firearm discharge allegations were dropped in October 2023. In June 2024, a tragic car crash claimed the life of his daughter, Onthatile; Shebeshxt and his partner were injured. He has since spoken about carrying this grief while pursuing his music career.
