A Dream Realized
As an artist, curator, and believer in the power of music to shape culture, I have always dreamt of creating moments that transcend time. The return of Liquid Deep to the stage at Mayonie Open Air on 30 November 2025 at Constitution Hill is not just an announcement—it is history in motion.
The Soundtrack of a Generation
For more than a decade, Liquid Deep gave us anthems that became the heartbeat of South African house and soul. Tracks like BBM, Fairytale, Alone, Rise Again, and Settle for Less defined a generation—songs that carried across dance floors and radio waves, uniting us in rhythm, love, and emotion.
More Than Nostalgia
Their comeback is about more than reliving the past. It is about honouring a legacy, reintroducing a sound that shaped our culture, and proving that timeless music continues to inspire new generations.
A Full-Circle Moment
Mayonie Open Air is where we gather to celebrate the evolution of Afro House. To share the stage with Liquid Deep is not only an honour but also a full-circle moment, harking back to our Channel O Music Awards performance in 2012.
Visionaries of South African House
Liquid Deep have always been more than artists; they are visionaries who brought depth and feeling to South African house music when it was most needed. Sharing this stage with them after 11 years, alongside today’s new wave of Afro House talent, makes this inaugural festival even more powerful.
More Than a Concert
On 30 November, Constitutional Hill will not just host a show—it will host a movement. One night where past, present, and future converge, proving once more that South African music is not only alive but leading the global rhythm.
